The most frightening thing about BSL is the fact that it doesn't stop at one or three breeds.

Breeds and mixes of certian breeds will be at risk.  The number of breeds is shocking.
The breeds listed below either will be affected by BSL directly or their mixes may be. Predijuce against dogs that comes with media and breed bans often affects 'looks' more than actual breeds. Some of these dogs many people will go "That's not possible, they're nothing like such-in-such-breed". Well, guess again. Often people may judge by color or patterns(brindles, merles, blues, reds), or width of head and or chest, some by muzzle, or even light colored eyes. I know, I have been there, I own an Ibizan who had Animal Control called on him for being a 'pit bull'. Why? Light colored eyes, flesh colored nose perhaps?
I have heard of many breeds be mis-indentified by vets and animal control officers, I've heard of Gordon Setters having been called 'Long-Haired Rottweilers'. Don't think BSL won't affect you or someone you know.
What's not on the list of breeds, but will be listed under, are reasons people give for a breed being 'vicious' in their eyes.
Please remember, the general public, and even some Vets and AC Officers are not keen on all the different breeds out there. There are more than 800, many of which are hard to find, study, and learn about!
Breeds marked with a * are directly affected, all others are collateral damage. While some of these breeds are not in the states(a great number are however), and some even in their creation, it doesn't mean they won't come here sooner or later, or in the cases of breeds in the creation process, have a standard soon.
